Escapism

Most free weekends, as long as there isn’t too much to do around no2, we escape, we pack the car and the kids are leave the monotonty of everyday life. Mostly we head to the coast where our caravan sits and awaits us with open arms. Nothing to be done except relax, explore and aimlessly wander the shoreline.

Do you ever get time to escape or even feel the need to?

Oh boo to that!! But I totally understand. We are lucky we have our caravan but also lucky my Dad lives far away, so visiting him is an escape too. Hope you get a weekend away soon! You are getting more into camping aren’t you?

Beautiful photos belinda , today you provided my escape when you came to visit, coffee chat and listen and i am very grateful. As you know, we did the big escape from inner city life recently and i have been missing the joy and escape that seeing my girlfriends face to face brings so thankyou. Have a wonderful weekend in the country air Xx

Thanks Mel! I love have brave you and your family have been taking this big leap, and I think one of the hardest parts would be missing familiar people. It was awesome to catch up with you, we are never at a loss as to what to talk about and it just feels familiar and comfortable. Will definitely be escaping to see you more often xx

I love the photo of your two gorgeous children surrounded by the greenery on the lane way, and the photo of Ragamuffin staring at daddy with love!

Would love to escape, lots of times, but weekends are so busy lately, and then where would we go? We’d probably need to take two cars just to be able to pack all the twins things lol.

Maybe we should just do it and not over think it!!!

In my opinion it’s all about writing lists days before and being organized. We have done it so many times now that we are very minimalist, only packing the necessities (most places having washing machines and dryers if you need). I even know now how many nappies to pack and the best storage solution for Ragamuffins bottles, food, formula and steriliser.

I say just do it, go where the mood takes you, visit family or hire a cabin down the coast. Sometimes one weekend away can recharge those batteries for much much longer!

Here at no.2 we love hearing from you & appreciate your comments!
